On 5 December, the closing concert of the 19th International Song and Dance Festival “Let’s Join Hands” took place in the A.L. Durov Circus in Voronezh. The event was organised by the Department of Culture of the Voronezh government and Voronezh State University International Education Institute.
Prior to this vibrant event, there were qualifying rounds with nearly 700 representatives from 56 countries. Among them there were Russian teams who presented the songs and dances of different nations and international students who study at Voronezh universities.
The goal of the festival is to promote tolerance towards representatives of different nationalities and religions, to popularise arts of different nations among students, and to enhance communication between international and Russian students.
