On 17 January, a committee selecting candidates for Erasmus+ scholarship to study in Leon University worked in the conference hall of the main university building.

Nine students, representatives from the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology, the Faculty of Economics, and the Faculty of International Relations, competed for the scholarship. According to the results of CV competition and interviews, the scholarship in the area “Economics and Business” was awarded to Alexander Abramov, a first year student from the Faculty of International Relations. In the area “Spanish Philology” the committee supported the applications of third year students from the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology, Yana Kokoreva, Margarita Opryshko, and Sofia Yelagina.

“These are “bonus” scholarships. We had already distributed all the scholarships available within Erasmus+ programme. However, our international partners must have found an opportunity to allocate four extra places for Russian students. And students from Voronezh State University were lucky to get them!” said Natalia Ushkova, the leading specialist of the VSU International Relations office.
