Since 2015, Voronezh State University in cooperation with the University of Göttingen (Georg-August-Universität Göttingen) has been offering master's programme "Russian Literature in the European Context". Students who complete the programme spend one semester in Germany and receive a double degree diploma in Philology both from Russian and German universities. The programme is headed by Professor Andrey Faustov, Head of the Department of History and Typology of Russian and Foreign Literature, and Professor Matthias Freise from the University of Göttingen.
The semester in Germany is supported by Erasmus+ and DAAD scholarships, irresponsible of whether the master’s student studies in Voronezh on a fee-paying or a state-funded basis. Students are entitled to free transport fares in the federal land of Lower Saxony (where Göttingen is located) and free museum and exhibition admissions.
