Voronezh State University became an honoured guest at the 18th International Conference on International Exchange of Professionals. The organisers were going to hold the events on 14–15 April in Shenzhen (People's Republic of China) but in the end they had to choose a mixed format: Chinese participants and temporary residents of China took part in the conference in person while foreign delegations participated online.
VSU Rector Dmitry Endovitsky held a presentation of our university, Alla Akulshina, Head of the International Relations Office, told Chinese colleagues about the international experience of our university, and Yulia Svetashova, Head of the Chinese Centre of VSU, presented the programmes of short and long-term internships at VSU for the specialists from the People's Republic of China. Olga Berdnikova, Professor from the VSU Faculty of Philology, shared her experience of the implementation of exchange programmes for Chinese students, and Andrei Voronin, director of the Botanical Garden of VSU, talked about utilising manufacturing waste as fertilisers. Dmitry Vladimirov, Associate Professor from the Faculty of Geography, Geoecology, and Tourism of Voronezh State University and Deputy Dean of the International Cooperation, presented the programme “Tour operator and travel agency services techniques and management”.
It is not the first time VSU has taken part in this exhibition. Click here to see our university's stand. The conference is considered the most important event in China in the field of international scientific and technical exchange of scientists and professionals. At CIEP, the universities and research centres of many countries present new promising innovation projects which require joint efforts of scientists and professionals from all over the world in order to be further developed or implemented.
The meetings of CIEP take place in Beijing, Shenzhen, Harbin, and Moscow. The event is co-organised by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation in Russia and the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China and the Shenzhen government in China.
