On 29 January, Victoria Zavarzina, a master’s student from the Faculty of Philology, was provided with a chance to complete a two-week internship in Serbia at the final stage of the competition “Master’s Students of Russian Language”. Victoria will also have a chance to complete an advanced training programme at the Pushkin State Russian Language Institute.
At the final stage the participants had to conduct a part of a lesson of Russian as a foreign language. Victoria Zavarzina chose the topic “The adjective. Degrees of comparison of the adjective and the adverb”. Her audience included students from France, USA, Bulgaria, Malta, and other countries.
“I have always wanted to take part in international academic mobility programmes but I was discouraged by the long period of studying. And I will not even study but teach! I am a teacher of Russian as a foreign language! I am very glad to have this opportunity and I want to thank my teachers who recommended me to participate in the competition and supported me!” said Victoria Zavarzina.
The competition was organised with the support of Rossotrudnichestvo and the Pushkin State Russian Language Institute.
