Dean of the Faculty of Journalism participates in the Forum for National Mass Media in the Republic of Bashkortostan

Vladimir Tulupov, Dean of the Faculty of Journalism, took part in the Forum for National Mass Media which was held in the Gafuriysky District of Bashkiria at Krasnousolsk sanatorium. Vladimir Tulupov gave a plenary session report and held a workshop for the employees of printed mass media.

As part of the programme to support local mass media, it was decided to establish one hundred annual grants, one hundred thousand roubles each, to encourage the implementation of creative initiatives for the mass media of the republic. TV and radio stations, the editorial offices of the republic, districts, and cities of Bashkiria for printed media can count on the support. It will be possible to use the grants to finance projects involving audio and video formats aimed at the preservation and development of native languages in online sources. Grants will be distributed by the Union of Journalists of Bashkortostan and financed by the budget of the republic.

The goal of the forum is to support printed and digital mass media in the native languages of the Russian Federation as the most important tool of preservation of the unique culture of peoples of the republic and building harmony in society. The tasks of the forum are to exchange experiences, to look into new forms of work and general problems and their development patterns, and to encourage the further professional growth of the representatives of national mass media.
