Roskosmos will create a research laboratory at the Faculty of Mathematics of Voronezh State University. Representatives of the university and the Voronezh Centre for Rocket Propulsion Engineering (belongs to the integrated rocket propulsion engineering organisation headed by AO NPO Energomash of Roskosmos State Corporation) signed a cooperation agreement.
The laboratory is to be opened in September. Its premises will be located at VSU and the Voronezh Centre for Rocket Propulsion Engineering. One of the goals of the laboratory is to develop a methodology for the design of mathematical models for digital twins of liquid-propellant rocket units and products to create a uniform information space for production and product lifecycle management. The enterprise's leading specialists in the area of liquid-propellant rocket development and design will be involved in the work of the laboratory.
What is more, the Voronezh Centre for Rocket Propulsion Engineering and VSU will take part in the joint implementation of such projects as the creation and development of the regional centre for research and education in the Voronezh Region and cooperation within the framework of the federal programme of academic strategic leadership programme “Priority-2030”. Additionally, the traditional university–employer cooperation programme will be expanded, i.e. the organisation of joint scientific and technical conferences, personnel further training, and employment assistance to graduates.
