VSU students and other 230 Erasmus exchange programme students took part in an orientation week which was held at Leon University. It marked a new stage of international mobility during the pandemic.
The classes start on 13 September. Meanwhile the students take part in an extended cultural programme. For example, they visited Las Médulas, an ancient Roman gold-mining site located in the north-west of Spain. In 1997, it was listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Also, the students had a meeting with the mayor of Leon who told them about the historic and cultural heritage of the city.
“I absolutely love the exciting social life in Spain. It is awesome that so many students from different parts of the world have gathered in Leon. It’s an amazing feeling to be all together as one big family”, said Sofia Kovaliova, third year student from the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology, in her interview to the daily periodical León Noticias.
The VSU International Relations office has announced that students can now send their applications to participate in academic mobility programmes in the spring semester of 2021/2022.
