Voronezh State University joined the Telecommunication Technologies consortium (ANO TT). The status of a member provides an opportunity to establish production links and raise funding and state support for the introduction of Russian telecommunication products on the market.
“To develop the electronics industry in Russia, we need highly qualified professionals and research facilities, and VSU is willing to provide both,” said VSU Rector, Professor Dmitry Endovitsky.
The Telecommunication Technologies consortium was created in December 2019 by Sozvezdie concern (a division of the Ruselectronics holding owned by the state corporation Rostec), RTK-TSRI (a division of PAO Rostelekom) and Element Group of Companies, supported by the Ministry for Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. Its goal is to implement the state's strategy in the field of import substitution and to develop Russian production of radioelectronic products for the telecommunications industry.
The formation of industry-specific consortia as a support tool for Russian manufacturers is part of the strategy for the development of the electronics industry of the Russian Federation until 2030 approved by the Government of the Russian Federation. This measure is aimed at the creation of a universal system that includes Russian organisations in the field of development, production, and application of telecommunications equipment and its components, including electronic components, research and development, as well as educational activities in the field of the development of the human resource capacity of highly qualified professionals.
