The first “What? Where? When?” intellectual game between universities was held on 6 November. A VSU team “Pochemu tak?” was the winner. The team from Voronezh State Pedagogical University called “FIYA-VGPU” took second place. Another VSU team “Zvuki na Perekatskom” came third. All in all, 15 teams from 4 universities, including Voronezh State University, Voronezh State Pedagogical University, Voronezh State University of Engineering Technologies, and Voronezh State Agricultural University took part in the game that was held online.
“The event was aimed at uniting universities during this time of distance learning, and thanks to the collaboration of the Joint Students’ Board of VSU and Voronezh State Pedagogical University we were able to organise the game online, thus proving again that such cool events that develop students’ intellectual abilities as well as their team spirit can be held online,” said Matvei Mikhalsky, Head of the VSU Joint Students’ Board.
“Holding an intellectual game online and, what’s more, at the university level was a new experience for me. I was really worried about the technical abilities, the quality of questions, and the internet connection. But we did it, and it went well! Some problems had to be solved urgently, of course, and we had to improvise. It was a new experience and quite a successful one judging by the results! I hope such games with other universities will be held again,” said German Wolfson, Head of the VSPU Joint Students’ Board.
