On 18 November, on World Philosophy Day, a regional research and practice conference for teachers, postgraduate students, master’s degree students, and undergraduate students “On the eternal and momentary (Philosophy: traditions and innovations)” was held at the Faculty of Philosophy and Sociology of Bashkir State University. Due to the unfavourable epidemiological situation, the conference was held online. Among the participants of the conference were students and lecturers from the Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology of VSU.
The academic staff the Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology was represented by Stanislav Sulimov, Associate Professor of the Department of History of Philosophy and Culture, and Alexander Arapov, Professor of the Department of Ontology and Epistemology. Eduard Bondarenko, Margarita Rudaleva, Tatiana Solodovnikova, Sofia Sukhorukova, Violetta Shamaeva, and Maria Shurygina, bachelor students from the Department of Philosophy of Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology, presented their reports. The reports by the Voronezh participants were praised by Svetlana Pozdyaeva, Head of the Organising Committee of the conference, Professor of the Department of Philosophy and Political Science of Bashkir State University.
A literary festival was also held as part of the conference where students and lecturers from different universities shared their works. For example, Roman Ryazhenov, a fourth-year student from the Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology, read poetry, and Associate Professor Stanislav Sulimov read his story “A Dream of an Old Church”.
