Between 17 and 20 November, the final stage of the national research competition was held in Moscow as part of the “Science of the Future – Science of the Young” Youth Science Forum. Undergraduate and post-graduate students, young researchers from VSU, were among the finalists of the contest.
The main events of the forum were held at the National University of Science and Technology “MISIS”. The national research competition was held as part of the forum. A collection of materials from the fourth International Scientific Conference “Science of the Future” was issued based on its results. The collection includes materials produced by the conference participants, Russian and international scientists, young researchers, and postgraduate and undergraduate students.
The conference was organised by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
Statistics show the large scale of the competition: during the qualifying stages, 300 finalists were chosen out of more than 6,000 applications, and 60 postgraduate and undergraduate students from universities representing all federal districts became the winners of the competition. Thus, the competition for winning places was more than 100 people per place.
The book includes summaries from the following VSU representatives: Daria Galtsova (graduate student of the Faculty of Philology, section “Humanities”), Nikolay Avdeev (2nd place in the competition) and Yulia Anuchina (postgraduate students of the Faculty of Mathematics, section “Information Technologies and Mathematics”), Yulia Presnyakova (master’s student from the Faculty of Geography, Geoecology, and Tourism, section “Geosciences, Ecology, and Natural Resources Management”), Sofia Titova (3rd place in the competition, master’s student from the Faculty of Physics, section “New materials and construction methods”), Olga Zavalishina (2nd place in theetition, master’s student from the Faculty of Physics, section “Physics and Astronomy”), and Yulia Kakulia (postgraduate student from the Faculty of Physics, section “Physics and Astronomy”).
