The opening ceremony of a new corporate centre took place in the main building of VSU. The centre opened at the university in a newly refurbished room 227 (first floor) was created in cooperation with the international IT company DataArt, a strategic business partner of the university.
At the opening ceremony, Alexander Shashkin, the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics, said that this centre is a good example of cooperation that could be followed by other faculties, universities, and IT companies:
“Cooperation between DataArt and VSU is a good example for other companies. From the first year at the university, our students know that there is such a company in Voronezh, DataArt, and try to get a job there”.
Elena Fyodorova, HRM-Director at DataArt in Voronezh, thanked Voronezh State University for the opportunity to realise the potential of the company:
“From our side, we try to spread the word about VSU not only among university applicants at Voronezh but all over Russia. We tell them about the benefits of learning. This helps them choose their career.”
VSU Rector Dmitry Endovitsky characterised the creating of the corporate centre at the university as a preliminary result of the cooperation with DataArt:
“We’ve been cooperating with the company since 2011. Since then, we have held hundreds of joint conferences, opened joint technological schools, including the unique summer school where annually about 250 VSU students complete their practical training. Thanks to DataArt the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics offers several extra-curricular courses in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and big data. This is wonderful that both experts in theory and practice are involved in the educational process. DataArt is a brand.”
