VSU took 17th place in 2021 for recruiting graduates in the ranking of the largest Russian universities. The ranking was published by the National Research University Higher School of Economics.

The experts have analysed the number of state-funded and fee-paying students, an increase in the number of students, and the average state exam score. The places in the ranking were distributed according to the number of students who entered the university.

In total, 3,668 applicants were admitted to VSU bachelor’s and master’s programmes, including 1,734 state-funded and 1,934 fee-paying students. The average state exam score (for both state-funded and fee-paying modes of educations) was 69.8.

VSU also entered the ranking of universities with a quality of budget admissions of 90+ in one or several major groups of fields of study. Apart from that, Voronezh State University was 15th among 32 universities that admitted over 1,000 fee-paying first-year students.
