On 8 February, the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics opened a regional centre of 1C technological platform competences: Enterprise 8 and 1C business solutions. The centre can be found in the newly refurbished room 12.

The opening ceremony was held by Dmitry Endovitsky, VSU rector, and Andrey Maizel, the Head of the Chisla company and a graduate from the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics. Among other participants of the event were representatives of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics.

“We decided to open a regional centre of competences since we understand that the potential of 1C in the student’s community is undervalued. We would like to break stereotypes and show that 1C can help you get a well-paid job. Business community is in need of qualified specialists who are ready to solve challenging tasks and achieve good results,” said Andrey Maizel.

The new centre will become a venue for meetings with the company’s clients, theoretical and practical classes, summer practice trainings and internships. The representatives of the company are also ready to help students prepare their theses and to help lecturers develop study materials. What is more, trial job interviews are expected to be held in the centre.

“Without a doubt, the centre will contribute to a better education. The curricula of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics have courses related to the 1C product. And, of course, it is always a pleasure to work in a nice and renovated room,” said Alexander Shashkin, the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics.

Earlier, the representatives of the Chisla company held two summer practice trainings and two programming courses. Five students received certificates. New students will be enrolled in March.

The parties signed an agreement about creating a regional centre of 1C business solutions competences at VSU in June 2021.
