Alla Shesterina, Professor at the Faculty of Journalism at VSU, made a plenary presentation at Venue 1, “Digital Transformation of Media Systems and Communications. The Global Context” as part of the Eurasia 2022 Forum.
“It was a great honour for me to participate in the forum together with such scholars as Tatiana Chernigovskaya, Sergey Ilchenko, Vladimir Oleshko, and other researchers of the most topical issues of our time. In my report I tried to present the results of many years of work aimed at understanding the role of online video content in shaping the image of the region. Today, when people get more and more information online, and video is becoming the most popular format of media consumption. It is critical to understand what image the city and the region has on the Internet. Research shows that there is significant progress in this area, but at the same time, there is also great potential. I thank the organisers of the event for the opportunity to share the results of my observations with my colleagues,” Alla Shesterina shared her impressions of the conference.
The “Eurasia 2022: Social and Humanitarian Space in the Era of Globalisation and Digitalisation” International Research and Educational Forum took place in Chelyabinsk this year and brought together about 6,000 participants from 22 countries. Among them were representatives from 30 regions of Russia. The forum was dedicated to the development of cooperation in education, culture, science, and technology, and the formation of a unified social, humanitarian, and digital space for Eurasia.
