According to the results of the quarter-final of the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) for student teams, three teams of VSU students advanced to the semi-finals of the championship. These are the VoronezhSU-B team consisting of Nikita Berezhnov, Nikolay Paukov, and Yulia Shishko, students of the Faculty of Computer Sciences; the Voronezh-H team consisting of Dmitry Paschenkov, Anton Kolesov, and Maksim Novotochinov, students of the Faculty of Computer Sciences, and the VoronezhSU-F team consisting of Anna Kosobutskaya, Irina Plotnikova, students of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics, and Maksim Danilov, student of the Faculty of Mathematics.
The semi-finals took place on 12–13 April. In the zone which includes VSU, the event was held as the final stage of the Northern Eurasia programming contest for student’s teams, the contest took place simultaneously at several venues of the zone. The participants from VSU took part in the competition at the venue in St. Petersburg. As a result of this stage of the championship, the VoronezhSU-B team of students of the Faculty of Computer Sciences won a third-degree diploma.
