Infra-M, a major scientific publishing house, has published a monograph by Dmitry Chugunov, DSc in Philology, Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy. The book is called “V poiske smyslov” (In Search of Meanings), it is dedicated to German-language prize-winning literature of the 21st century.
For the first time in Russian and foreign literary studies, the monograph examines the work of the winners of the Buchner Prize and the German Book Award (2001–2020) from a position of values. It highlights the authentic consonance between the literary works and their external context. The book shows how the writers strive to reveal the fundamentals of the modern times, which are distinctly recognised as a new era.
The monograph is intended for specialists in literary studies and for all those interested in modern Western European literature.
