On April 18, the Voronezh Region Universiade in badminton wrapped up at the university. VSU students took first place. Second place went to representatives of Voronezh State Medical University, and third to competitors from Voronezh State University of Engineering Technologies.
“For our team, the Universiade has been a great success. The preparation process was quite arduous, but also fun. Competitors from other universities proved to be strong opponents, but we managed to resist their pressure and win: VSU won first place among Voronezh universities,” said team captain Alexander Shvetsov.
The team was coached by Evgeniya Kozyreva, a teacher at the Department of Physical Education and Sports, and Svetlana Kozyreva, a senior lecturer at the Department of Physical Education and Sports.
