Tatyana Prokofieva, a swimming school coach at VSU, set a new national record in the 100 m breaststroke. She covered the distance in 1 minute 24 seconds. The 30th Russian Masters Swimming Cup took place in St. Petersburg.
In addition, the swimmer won three gold medals in the women’s 50 m, 100 m, and 200 m breaststroke competitions. She also won one silver and two bronze medals in the medley relay as a member of the Spartak team from Voronezh. Yury Perin, a coach from the VSU swimming school, won silver medals in the 100 m and 200 m backstroke.
Both VSU employees acted as authorised representatives of the Russian Masters Swimming Federation at the competitions.
