Students from the Faculty of Physics of VSU, Alexander Sokolov (Department of Semiconductor Physics and Microelectronics) and Andrey Chebotarev (Department of Radiophysics) developed the world's first visual novella game with native advertising of the university. Alexander Sokolov created the plot and the script and Andrey Chebotarev wrote the code. The third developer was Nikita Polyakov, a student from Kazan State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, who developed the design.
On 29 April, the students from VSU and Dmitry Zhukalin, Associate Professor at the Department of Semiconductor Physics and Microelectronics, presented the game “Farewell Letter” to Rector Dmitry Endovitsky.
““Farewell letter” is a comic video game. However, since the character has several alternative actions to choose from, there are several alternative endings. The personality and the future of the character depend on the player,” said Alexander Sokolov.
The creators were inspired by the history of the Imperial Yuriev University: the game has “easter eggs” by clicking on which you can find out more information about Voronezh State University and its representatives. Now, students are working on Android and iOS versions.
