On 17 May, a delegation of the Republic of Dagestan paid a visit to Voronezh State University. The representatives of VSU and Dagestan State University signed a cooperation agreement. The event took place during the meeting of the Council of Rectors of the Voronezh Region. A cooperation agreement was also signed between the Council of Rectors of Universities of the Republic of Dagestan and the Council of Rectors of Universities of the Voronezh Region.
The delegation was welcomed by Dmitry Endovitsky, Rector of VSU. He told the guests about Nobel laureates from Voronezh, the rector community of the region, and Voronezh universities.
“Voronezh is a multinational city, we have more than 30 different national diasporas. They are involved in active cooperation with the government and the governor,” said Dmitry Endovitsky.
Murtazali Rabadanov, Rector of the Dagestan State University, thanked the VSU Rector for the warm welcome.
“I would like to establish an academic mobility programme: we want our students to come to your university, and yours to come to ours.”
The folk music group “Terem” welcomed the delegation. After the meeting of the Council of Rectors, representatives of the republic visited the laboratory of medical cybernetics, the Centre for Collective Use of Scientific Equipment, and the laboratory of robotics.
