A delegation of VSU as part of representatives of the Voronezh Region took part in the 30th All-Russian “Russian Student’s Spring” festival. Between 18 and 24 May, students demonstrated their abilities and talents in Samara, and the jury praised the efforts of the activists.
VSU students took third place in the regional programme among 34 regions of Russia and third place in a theatrical performance (the “Sketch” nomination) among 89 regions.
“Our delegation lived in the historical centre of the city with short houses and an excellent infrastructure! The venues for performances seemed to have been renovated just before the festival. Despite the busy timetable, the employees are both understanding and polite. The volunteers and technical specialists at the venues are fantastic! I’m very thankful to them for their hard work! There were a lot of strong and professional teams! I think our guys, who watched the performances of their peers for several days in a row, were really inspired by them. The day of the regional programme performance is always hard. For us, it extended into three days: rehearsals, rehearsals, assembling stage sets, rehearsals, and rehearsals.”
“Things didn’t go as smoothly as we wished, but we should make allowance for the fact that there were a lot of first year students involved, who were good onstage, and after the concert they were praised by the jury! We only had positive experiences! We have defined our path of growth and a lot of work needs to be done in the future, although the students think that now they can rest for three months. We would like to express our special thanks to Aliona Fedulova, Head of the delegation, who solved all the issues as soon as possible!” said Natalia Bukhvalova, Art Director at VSU.
