On 15 June, a renovated lecture hall No. 297 was opened at the Faculty of Computer Sciences as a study centre of Severstal-Infokom. The renovation was conducted in cooperation with Severstal-Infokom, a partner of VSU. The ribbon was cut by the Rector of VSU Dmitry Endovitsky and Anastasia Tsarskaya, Head of the HR Department at Severstal-Infokom.
“There’s nothing more pleasant for a rector than to participate in the opening of such centres and laboratories. I’m sure we will find a common ground for future cooperation. Severstal-Infokom did the right thing when it came to our university. Today there are at least 4,000 IT specialists here at four faculties, a lot of people to choose from,” commented Dmitry Endovitsky.
“It is an important milestone in the collaboration between VSU, the Faculty of Computer Sciences, and Severstal-Infokom. In my opinion, it’s a great example of cooperation: the university provides the required knowledge and skills while we help young people to find their way in IT and among the digital community. This is only the beginning, and there will be fruitful cooperation ahead!” said Anastasia Tsarskaya.
Alexander Krylovetsky, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Sciences, thanked the representatives of Severstal-Infokom for “a very important project”.
“I hope we will obtain new experience,” said Alexander Krylovetsky.
