On 2 September, VSU Rector Dmitry Endovitsky and Stefan Duerr, CEO of GK EkoNiva, signed a cooperation agreement between the university and the group of companies. The event took place in the conference hall of the main building of VSU.
The event was preceded by a lecture by Fyodor Konyukhov, a Russian traveller, which was held in the conference hall and attracted the university staff and students. Stefan Duerr thanked the well-known traveller for being a good role model for younger generation.
“I am sure that many VSU students will also make significant discoveries in the future. Despite the fact that our company works with the Peter I Voronezh State Agricultural University, which is the main provider of human resources for us, we decided to look for new employees among VSU students as well. Students of this large university possess a lot of skills that we require from our potential employees,” said Stefan Duerr.
Dmitry Endovitsky noted that large agricultural companies now need artificial intelligence solutions, big data analysis, and chemical technologies. Also, genetics, selection, and soil science is being actively developed in Russia. These trends require close interactions between large companies and educational institutions that train future specialists.
“I don’t want this document to be merely symbolic. I want it to help us work together in the best economic interests of the Russian Federation,” said the rector of VSU Dmitry Endovitsky.
