On 10 September, the ASB basketball tournament was held in the Alye Parusa Park. Sportsmen from the female and male teams of the VSU’s sports club “Khitschnye Bobry” became the bronze winner of the competition.

The teams were coached by Maria Yanishevskaya, a senior teacher from the Department of Physical Education and Sports of VSU. The teams included bachelor’s and master’s degree students from VSU faculties.

The ASB 3х3 basketball tournament was held as part of the federal project “Sport is the norm of life”. The project was supported by the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation.

“The competition was held at a high level, which is a standard for the organisation of tournaments here in Voronezh. There were a lot of competitive and experienced teams from different universities and plenty of memorable moments both for the audience and players themselves. However, the group distribution was unexpected. The teams representing VSU had to play against each other to progress from the group. But we still enjoyed the best ball game ever,” said Evgeny Khudichev, team manager and master’s degree student from the Faculty of Economics.
