On October 5-8, the International Construction Championship was held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Centre. Second place in the nomination "Design of the electrical part and automation systems" was taken by Danil Cherkasov, engineer of the Headquarters of student’s teams of VSU.
The championship brought together the best representatives among future engineers and builders.
More than 190 students from Russia and the CIS took part in competition in 16 nominations. The contestants were united by strong competition, the desire to show themselves and several days of hard work.
The competition, in which a VSU student took part, consisted of a technical task from the organizers. The participants were accommodated in one of the halls of the championship, where they solved complex engineering problems for two days. The students were monitored by the organizers who checked their computers.
“This championship showed me whether I can develop as an engineer. Sometimes it was difficult, I had to solve tasks at night in a hotel. It seemed to me that I could not cope with the work on the project. However, in the end everything worked out!” said the VSU student, Danil Cherkasov.
The result of the two-day work of each participant was a complex project. After handing over the finished cases, professional experts evaluated them and assigned points.
“I'm rather proud, not of the fact that I got 2nd place, but of the fact that, due to perseverance, I managed to solve difficult tasks. At the championship, I met cool professionals who shared their experience. Also, my friends were there and they supported me. Definitely, this victory will help me in my future career” said Danil Cherkasov.
