VSU has entered the most prestigious world ranking of the best universities for the tenth time.
The rating data is published annually by the British magazine Times Higher Education. The global ranking includes 76 Russian universities. For comparison, in 2021 there were 60, in 2020 there were 48. Among the universities, VSU is located in the group of universities 1501+.
The Times Higher Education World University Rankings is one of the world's most respected university rankings. The ranking is currently being compiled in partnership with Elsevier and the Scopus database. One of the key conditions for listing in the rating is the publication of at least 1,000 scientific articles over five years in journals indexed in the Scopus database, supported by the Elsevier publishing house.
The ranking uses 13 performance indicators grouped into five areas: teaching, research, citation, commercialization of research activities, and international connectivity. The rating is significantly influenced by the analysis of more than 80 million citations from 13 million scientific publications, as well as a survey of 22,000 scientists from around the world.
All pages of Russian universities are marked as temporarily suspended on the rating website.
