On October 13, Rector Dmitry Endovitsky and representatives of VSU held a closed meeting with a representative of the Belarus State Economic University, Tatyana Uskevich. The event was held in the conference hall of the main building and included a discussion of the prospects for inter-university integration.
Along with the rector of VSU, the meeting was also attended by: Larisa Korobeinikova, Deputy Head of the Department of Economic Analysis and Audit and Vice-Rector for Economics and Contract Services, Alla Akulshina, Head of Department of International Cooperation, and Maria Tkacheva, teacher of the Department of Accountancy of the Faculty of Economics. During face-to-face communication, the participants discussed the most significant issues of interaction between the university and BSEU in the economic areas of student training.
The rector of VSU noted the need for the implementation of the double degree program of VSU together with BSEU. According to Dmitry Endovitsky, now the universities have effective cooperation in the format of conferences, releases of scientific publications, and the creation of reviews and dissertation abstracts. Further, the most significant format of interaction will be the development and launch of a common educational program.
“This is a great field for our cooperation, and I really hope that you will support the implementation of this plan” said VSU Rector Dmitry Endovitsky.
As Tatyana Uskevich noted, the current visit to VSU helped to identify common points in the disciplines of the two universities. As a result, significant common grounds in the addressing the issue were outlined. The representative of the BSEU also noted that the current plans are supported by the administration of the Belarus State Economic University.
