The rector of VSU met with representatives of the Embassy of the State of Israel in the Russian Federation

On October 13, in the White Hall of the main building of the VSU, a meeting of the VSU delegation and representatives of the Embassy of the State of Israel in the Russian Federation took place. The parties discussed their further plans for cooperation.

The meeting was attended by Minister Plenipotentiary, Deputy Head of the Israeli Embassy in the Russian Federation Ronen Kraus, First Secretary of the Embassy of the State of Israel in the Russian Federation, Press Attaché Rami Teplitsky, Attaché for Defence at the Embassy of the State of Israel in the Russian Federation, Representative of the Ministry of Defence of the State of Israel Boris Shuster, Counselor of the Embassy of the States of Israel in the Russian Federation, Head of the Nativ Representative Office in Russia and the CIS Yana Agmon.

VSU Rector Dmitry Endovitsky told them about the university, noting that cooperation with Israeli universities is quite fruitful. Today, VSU partners are the Sami Shamoon Academic College of Engineering, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the Leon H. Charney School of Marine Sciences of the University of Haifa, the Racah Institute of Physics of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Tel Aviv University, and Haifa University. In addition, since 2013, Voronezh State University has been actively visited by officials of the State of Israel.

“Many employees of VSU work in Israeli universities, and employees of Israeli universities work with us. There are many such interactions. It is very pleasing to note that Voronezh State University is constantly in the focus of your Embassy” emphasised Dmitry Yendovitsky.

The parties discussed the creation of a "Russian centre" in Tel Aviv, in addition, an Israeli centre can be created at VSU.

“If you are interested in students learning Hebrew, we are all for it. It is very nice to see that there is such a caring community at VSU” said Yana Agmon.
