On October 14, in the conference hall of the main building of the VSU, a meeting between the leadership of the university, teachers and students of the chemical faculty of VSU with Evgeny Gavrilov, the head of the strategic development department of OOO “Metadynea” (Metafrax Group) was held. At the meeting, the cooperation agreement between VSU and Metafrax Group was concluded and the presentation of OOO “Metadynea”, a Russian manufacturer of synthetic resins, which is a part of the Metafrax group of companies, took place.
“In a good way, one can envy the set of competencies that Evgeny Gavrilov has, who was a graduate of VSU and my graduate thesis student. I am glad that Evgeny does not break ties with his alma mater” noted the rector of the university, Dmitry Endovitsky, during the signing of the agreement.
Oleg Kozaderov, Vice Rector for Research, Innovations, and Digitising, Head of the Department of Physical Chemistry, who moderated the meeting, told the audience about the activities of the Faculty of Chemistry. According to the vice-rector, most of activities are aimed at the contribution of the university, not only to science, but also to the economy.
Presenting the company, Evgeny Gavrilov, in a dialogue with teachers of the Faculty of Chemistry, students, and potential employees of the company, discussed the prospects for cooperation between VSU and Metafrax, told about economic, scientific and industrial areas.
“As a VSU graduate, I am especially pleased to sign the agreement on behalf of Metadynea (Metafrax Group). Despite the fact that both our company and the university are well known in their professional community, we hardly knew each other. Today, we can say that we have added new flags on our maps and start working in two directions: internships for students at our production sites in the Moscow Region and the Perm Territory and development of the company's product portfolio” said Evgeny Gavrilov.
