On October 15, in the Main Academic Building of Voronezh State University, a training on entrepreneurial competencies was held as part of the federal project "University Technological Entrepreneurship Platforms". Students of VSU and VSIPC took part in the business game. The experts of the meeting were the managing partner of the venture company Startech.vc. and coordinator of the international business incubator in China Viktor Brandt, as well as the head of external partnerships at the MTS Startup Hub and the founder of the “Factory of Hypotheses”, Andrey Krasnopeev.

“The training helps to teach students about the technological entrepreneurship in simple terms. We simulate real situations from the life of startups and offer students to make their own decisions on the development and promotion of their business, which greatly improves their skills and knowledge. I was very pleased with the high involvement and activity of the students, by the number of questions it was clear that they were really interested in the theme of the event” Andrey Krasnopeev noted.

The participants of the training learn about the basic principles and tools for creating a technology startup, methods for developing IP strategy of the project, and methods for assessing the investment attractiveness of a project. They learnt about the concept of minimum viable product (MVP). In addition, during the game, the teams worked out the business model of their start-up and made presentation of it for "investors", raising funds for development.

“It was a useful training, which helped me refresh the already familiar information, and also helped me a lot with my understanding of entrepreneurship. I liked that I had the opportunity to prove myself and not only come up with an idea for a startup, but also present it to the audience and experts” said Petr Menyailo, a student of the Faculty of Economics.

“It was nice to see real interest from students in relation to the topic under discussion. Moreover, many of the participants asked questions about attracting investments or about the further development strategy of start-ups, which indicates that they already have their own projects. We tried to tell them about the existing opportunities for developing their own business in detail, provide examples from real practice and simulated the real working conditions of a startup for them” said Victor Brandt.

A busy weekend awaits all students interested in the technological entrepreneurship. On October 21, the “Startup.Genesis” training will be held at the Degas business hotel, in the Akademichesky Congress Hall, Voronezh, Pyatnitsky ul., 65A. On October 22 the training will be conducted in the Main Academic Building of VSU, Universitetskaya Ploschad, 1. Training starts at 10:00, registration opens at 9:00. In order to take part, the registration to the platform of the project "Trainings of Entrepreneurial Competences” is required.
