On 10 October, a VSU Universiade for first year students was held. More than 400 students took part in it. They demonstrated the following results.

- 1st place – Yulia Lapshina, the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences
- 2nd place – Ekaterina Schetinina, the Faculty of Law
- 3rd place – Albina Shvetsova, the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics

- 1st place – the Faculty of Physics
- 2nd place – the Faculty of Law

The Universiade was organised by the teachers from the Department of Physical Education and Sports. The administration of the volunteer centre and the photographers were members of the VSU students’ sport club “Khitschnye Bobry”.
