In November, the resources of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics were replenished with the REMM-1 tensile testing machine. The equipment will be used for laboratory training for continuum mechanics courses. The machine was supplied by OOO EnergiaLab, a company that produces educational equipment.
The installation is a system with attached laptop. The equipment allows carrying out statistical tests on the tension or compression of materials and display a graph of processes on the screen. According to Alexeн Kovalev, head of the Department of Mechanics and Computer Modelling, the machine will facilitate the work of students who will be able to observe changes in materials in real time.
At the moment, VSU together with the supplier company, are engaged in the process of debugging equipment. After this stage, students of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics will be able to use the installation in their studies.
