Voronezh State University, together with the holding Russian Space Systems, the Radio Research Institute and the Nebo GK company, became a co-executor of the project within the framework of Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 109 "On the provision of subsidies from the federal budget to Russian organisations to reimburse part of the costs for creation of technological advance for the development of basic technologies for the production of priority electronic components and radio-electronic equipment."

“We have accumulated a lot of experience in developments for satellite terminals. We are pleased to participate in an innovative project in the interests of the Russian radio-electronic industry,” said Grigory Uskov, the leading scientist of the project, DSc in Physics and Mathematics, and Professor of the Faculty of Physics of the Voronezh State University.

The joint project is aimed at the development of domestic satellite communication terminals. As part of the project, the Department of Electronics of VSU will develop specialised phased arrays.

“This is very good news. Today, the Faculty of Physics of VSU is demonstrating an unusually large surge in activities, and large state corporations of the military-industrial complex are increasingly cooperating with us in developing promising areas in microelectronics, communications, synchrotron research, gallium nitride technologies in electronic components base, hydrodynamic acoustic system technologies for the detection of signals of small autonomous underwater robots. I believe that it is important to promote such an experience of commercialisation of innovative developments of the Faculty of Physics to other faculties of our university and to study in other universities of the Russian Federation,” said VSU Rector, Professor Dmitry Endovitsky.
