On 1 December, Oleg Kozaderov, Vice-Rector for Research, Innovations, and Digitising, Vladislav Kalaev, Deputy Dean for Research at the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences, and Daria Paymetieva and Matvey Skorobogatov, students of the Department of Biophysics and Biotechnology of the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences, took part in the 11th Agro-Industrial Congress. The congress was dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Eurasian technological platform “Technologies for the Food and Processing Industry of AIC – Healthy Food”.
The students presented samples of heterogeneous proteolytic enzymes immobilised on various carriers, which were developed at the Department of Biophysics and Biotechnology. Such enzymes are widely used in medicine, veterinary medicine, and the production of biologically active substances. The research was carried out under the supervision of Marina Holyavka, DSc in Biology, Professor at the Department of Biophysics and Biotechnology. The results were published in leading Russian and foreign journals (Biophysics, European Journal of Clinical Investigation, Supplement, Russian Journal of Biological Physics and Chemistry, International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, etc.) and are protected by 20 patents for invention in Russia.
The presented materials attracted the attention of the participants of the congress. Some universities and manufacturing companies made proposals for cooperation.
