On 1 December, the 15th anniversary of Rosatom State Corporation, at the Global Impact Conference 2022 Mission Impact international platform in Nizhny Novgorod, more than 30 experts from 20 countries discussed problems, trends, challenges, and new opportunities in education for the coming years. The event was attended by representatives of the education community from India, China, Russia, Turkey, UAE, Oman, Armenia, Kazakhstan, the Republic of South Africa, Brazil, Vietnam, Egypt, Latin America, and Africa. Among the speakers were Sergey Filonovich, Dean of the Graduate School of Management at the Higher School of Economics, Zelfira Tregulova, Director of the State Tretyakov Gallery, Tatiana Terentyeva, Deputy Director General for Human Resources at Rosatom State Corporation, and others.
The conference also hosted the awards ceremony for the winners of the Competition of Innovations in Education (CIE). The competition was organised by the Rosatom Corporate Academy together with the Higher School of Economics. The winners of the competition were determined at the conference upon the pitching of ten finalists previously selected by an international expert jury. Olga Ivanova, senior lecturer at the Department of Pedagogy and Pedagogical Psychology of the Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology at VSU, was among the top 10 semi-finalists with her project “Pythia: Creative Studio for Children with Learning Difficulties (dyslexia, dysgraphia)”. The project received awards in 4 nominations: the nomination for implementing a joint educational project with the Corporate Academy of Rosatom, the nomination from Impact Hub Moscow, the nomination for the Most Inclusive Project by the International Scientific-Educational Centre of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, and the nomination from the Kazakh National Pedagogical University. The project was among the top three finalists.
In total, over 400 applications were received from 19 countries, including Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Georgia, Germany, France, Israel, Indonesia, Malaysia, and other states.
