Professor Yury Starilov, Dean of the Faculty of Law at VSU, DSc in Law, was included in the reputation ranking of legal scholars. The ranking was published in the analytical report “Academic Reputations and Social Portrait of Legal Scholars” by the Institute for the Rule of Law of the European University at St. Petersburg. The publication provides an analysis of the professional reputation, social characteristics, and scientific work of Russian jurists.
Yury Starilov was ranked 12th out of 30. The respondents were asked about key figures who have contributed to the development of legal science. The question was as follows: “In your opinion, which of the current Russian jurists has made the greatest contribution to the development of Russian legal science in the last 10 years?”. The Dean of the Faculty of Law of VSU was named by 3.91% of the respondents.
Yury Starilov was also included in the branch ranking of legal scholars. He was ranked 10th in the field of constitutional law: 4% of the survey participants named Professor Starilov as one of the most influential scholars in this branch.
