At the Faculty of Computer Sciences at VSU, certificates were awarded to schoolchildren who finished the Python Fundamentals and Industrial Programming Fundamentals programmes by Yandex Academy Lyceum. More than 50 schoolchildren received the certificates.
“The Faculty of Computer Sciences pays special attention to working with schoolchildren. Today, it runs several courses in the Python and Java programming languages for schoolchildren. Yandex Academy Lyceum provides programmes for four courses: “Fundamentals of Python Programming”, “Fundamentals of Industrial Programming”, “Python and Data Analytics”, and “Introduction to Python”, where students not only learn Python programming from scratch, but also get insights into careers. Our students implement complex and interesting projects, which they can later present at conferences and competitions. After the courses, a significant number of them continue their studies at the Faculty of Computer Sciences,” said Ekaterina Kopytina, a lecturer of the Yandex Academy Lyceum course.
