On 9 February, a master’s degree student of the Faculty of International Relations, Vladislav Streltsov, defended his thesis as a result of the joint programme “Business in Emerging Markets” run by Voronezh State University and the Joanneum University of Applied Sciences (Graz, Austria).
The theme of the thesis was “Paths for improving state policy in Russia aimed at increasing the effectiveness of the innovative clustering of the regions of the country”. The research advisors were Associate Professor Anatoly Lylov, PhD in Economics on behalf of VSU, and Professor Vito Bobek, DSc in Economics, on behalf of FH Jonnaeum.
The quantitative and qualitative studies focused on the analysis of innovative clusters in the countries belonging to a group of innovation leaders, including in Russia.
The VSU examination committee included Professor Oleg Belenov, DSc in Economics, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations and the Head of the Department of Regional Studies and International Economies, Associate Professor Elena Endovitskaya, PhD in Economics, Head of the Department of International Economics and International Business, and Associate Professor Natalia Babicheva, DSc in Economics. The FH Jonnaeum examination committee included Professor Vito Bobek, DSc in Economics, Associate Professor Rupert Beinhauer, DSc in Economics, and Associate Professor Birgit Burböck, PhD in Economics.
The committee decided that the student passed the state examination with an excellent score. They appreciated the amount of work and the level of professional training Vladislav Streltsov demonstrated when answering the questions of the committee regarding his research.
Since the opening of the programme, over 20 students of the faculty have obtained double degree diplomas.
