Representatives of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics and the company Intechros designed a simulator for training robotics operators. The simulators will be used by Rosatom and Russian Railways. The simulator will teach motor skills for operating robotic equipment: after 40 hours of training, the operator will be able to work with a real control panel. The results were demonstrated at a meeting with the rector of VSU on 16 February.
The development of the simulator was started back in 2019 by third-year students of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics, Sergei Medvedev, Dean of the faculty, Aleksandr Yakovlev, associate professor of the Department of Mechanics and Computer Modelling, and representatives of the company Intechros. The simulator, which is a prototype of a control panel, can be used anywhere, you just need to plug it in.
“Every year we provide training to 100 people. This simulator will be included in the training course, and then it can be used directly at the worksite, at Rosatom and at Russian Railways,” noted Ratibor Konovalyuk, Development Director at AO MGK Intechros.
