On March 23, a round table "Turbulence in the Eurasian space and the new world order" was held at the Faculty of International Relations. In addition to teachers of the Faculty of International Relations, representatives of other universities in Russia, as well as Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan took part in the online format of the meeting.
The participants of the round table focused on the problems of the transformation of the modern world, the formation of a "politics of memory" in the countries of the post-Soviet space, various aspects of overcoming interstate and interethnic conflicts, as well as issues of cross-border migration, aggravated under the influence of crisis phenomena.
The presentation of the head of the department of socio-philosophical and anthropological studies of the Institute of Philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Tadeush Adulo should be noted. He talked about the experience of the economic development of the Republic of Belarus under the conditions of Western sanctions. Sergey Donskikh, Associate Professor of the Department of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Faculty of History, Communication and Tourism, Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno analysed new approaches to the study of the post-global world; Oleg Mikhalev, Associate Professor of the Department of International Relations and World Politics of the Faculty of International Relations of VSU, discussed the topic of the stay of Ukrainian refugees in Poland; Nune Sarumyan, Head of the Department of History and Political Science of the Faculty of History and Law of the Artsakh State University (Stepanakert) shared her observations on the current state of the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh.
Based on the results of the round table, it is planned to publish a collection of scientific articles. The meeting participants also agreed on further scientific cooperation and discussed the possibilities of implementing joint educational programs.
