On 3 April, the exhibition "Family Assembly Garden” was opened in the Museum and Exhibition Centre of the Voronezh State University. This is a complex exhibition dedicated to Voronezh and its surroundings. The exhibition presents works by Voronezh artists, as well as materials from the funds of the Ramon Charitable Museum of Oldenburg.
As the head of the Voronezh State University Museum and Exhibition Centre Alexandra Stepynina, who opened the meeting, explained, the exhibition got its name from the square of the Voronezh Officer's Club. In turn, the square belonged to the Family Assembly, which is why it got its name.
The city in the pictures is different: Voronezh of Dostoevsky, Voronezh of Platonov, Voronezh today...
Rector Dmitry Endovitsky, speaking about the place of the university where the exhibition is located, noted that the aura of this place is amazing, since many cultural events that are significant for the university take place here.
“The space of the university is always open for you, dear guests”, the rector emphasized.
“One of the remarkable features of Russian universities is that they are centres not only of education and science, but also of culture. Voronezh University is no exception. It attracts talented people, and they, in turn, are drawn to the university. I wish as many talented people as possible will come to the university with their work, achievements, and searches. I also wish that as many people will enjoy the art in the university. After all, this is how the love for homeland and for the city is formed, it is formed through art”, said the rector's councillor, Vladimir Listengarten, at the opening of the exhibition.
Lecturer of the N.N. Burdenko Voronezh State Medical University, Marina Silyutina, representing the modern art gallery Picturesque Voronezh together with the Voronezh actress Maria Sinelnikova, prepared a surprise for the guests of the exhibition, a small theatrical act dedicated to Oldenburg in Ramon. "The cherry on the cake" was the performance of romantic songs to the music of Rachmaninov by Ekaterina Yegortsova, a graduate of the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music.
At the end of the meeting, local history expert Lyudmila Obraztsova gave a tour for the guests and told them in more detail about Ramon and the life of Princess Olga Alexandrovna.
