On 3 March, in the white hall of the main building of the Voronezh State University, a meeting of delegations from the diversified IT company Sitronics Group and Voronezh State University took place. The event was opened by the Rector of VSU Dmitry Endovitsky, who spoke about the history of the university, corporate programs, alumni associations, as well as about laboratories operated by partner companies of the university.
Voronezh State University and Sitronics Group have been cooperating since December 2022 under an agreement on the development and implementation of modern digital technologies used in the real sector of the economy and education. The university and the IT company agreed to implement joint projects, hold industry conferences and events. The first was the competition for students, organized by representatives of the Faculty of Computer Sciences. In February of this year, Sitronics Group launched a DevOps engineering training program for VSU senior students, and in March, the developer became a partner of VrnCTF'23, an open inter-university programming competition.
Nikolay Pozhidaev, the President of Sitronics Group noted that the next step in the development of these relations will be student internships. The company provides this opportunity to students who develop their competencies in such high-tech areas as artificial intelligence, the creation of hardware and software for various industries, the development of data collection and processing services, and many others.
“The focus of our company is industrial IT. We are extremely interested in the competencies of the university, both physics and mathematics. We have projects that would not be possible without the participation of these specialists. Therefore, we are ready to create conditions for their training to be as comfortable and modern as possible”, emphasized Nikolay Pozhidaev, the President of Sitronics Group.
The university is ready to provide the Sitronics Group with opportunities to create a laboratory and a networking centre based on the Faculty of Computer Science.
The meeting ended with an excursion to the Museum and Exhibition Centre of the Voronezh State University.
