On 2 April, VSU hosted the XXXVII Conference of the Student Scientific Society. It was attended by about a thousand students of educational organizations and institutions of the Voronezh, Lipetsk, and Tambov regions.
Young historians, chemists, mathematicians, geographers, philologists, and other children presented reports in twenty-three sections. Mainly these are members of school activity clubs, historical and literary clubs, young mechanics' club, young naturalists who show a special interest in science, research, and creativity.
The participants presented independent work that they performed under the guidance of school teachers and teachers of institutions of secondary educational institutions. Many young researchers were supervised by scientists from Voronezh State University, and also led scientific projects.
“The Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Physics, Faculty of History, Faculty of Geography, Geoecology, and Tourism, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Philology, Faculty of Biomedical Sciences are especially distinguished. Here, a close relationship between the university and schools has been established, and experienced teachers are involved in scientific work with students”, said Lyudmila Samokhvalova, head of the Department of Pre-university Education of VSU.
The authors of the most interesting reports will receive diplomas, including personal certificates of honour, and the supervisors of the reports will be rewarded letters of gratitude. Documents on awarding the winners of the conference will be published in the "University pre-entry training" section no later than April 23. On this day, all faculties of VSU will host an open day.
