On 24 April, representatives of VSU and the National Student Rescue Corps signed a cooperation agreement. According to the document, a squad of rescuers will operate at the university. Volunteers will complete rescue and first aid training programmes. If necessary, they will be involved in rescue and emergency response operations and fire-fighting.
Margarita Chernyshova, Chairman of the Council of the regional branch of the National Student Rescue Corps, noted that VSU became the first university in the Voronezh Region with a rescue squad. At the moment, the squad consists of 11 people: students from the Faculty of Medicine and Biology, the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics, and the Faculty of Pharmaceutics.
“Students are completing proper rescue training and certification,” said Margarita Chernyshova.
