University tennis players achieve a double

On 23 April, table tennis competitions among the teams of Voronezh universities (the 2nd city stage of the Universiade among Universities of the Voronezh Region for the 2022–2023 academic year) were held at the Voronezh State Technical University sports facility. Among the participants of the event were 9 men’s teams representing Voronezh State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Voronezh State Technical University, Voronezh State Pedagogical University, Voronezh State University, Voronezh State Agricultural University, Voronezh State Forest Engineering University, Voronezh State University of Engineering Technologies, Voronezh State Medical University, and Air Force Academy and 7 women’s teams representing Voronezh State Technical University, Voronezh State Pedagogical University, Voronezh State University, Voronezh State Agricultural University, Voronezh State Forest Engineering University, Voronezh State University of Engineering Technologies, and Voronezh State Medical University.

VSU’s women’s team won the tournament in a tight competition. Second place went to Voronezh State Technical University, and third place to Voronezh State Pedagogical University. The VSU women’s team was represented by Olga Belikova, a postgraduate student from the Faculty of Law, Ksenia Kuchina, a student from the Faculty of Economics, Ellina Negovora, a postgraduate student from the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology, Elizaveta Pugacheva, a postgraduate student from the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics, and Tatiana Bokova, a student of the Faculty of Law.

VSU’s men’s team also won the tournament in a tight competition. Second place went to Voronezh State Technical University, and third place to Voronezh State Forest Engineering University.
