Final lectures by Argentinian experts of the cooperation programme between VSU and the National University of Comahue (Argentina) were held at the Faculty of International Relations on 3 May. Doctor Teresa Varela talked in detail about the political and socioeconomic issues of modern Argentina. The lecture by Doctor Martha Ruffini was dedicated to the history and today’s issues of Patagonia where the National University of Comahue is located.
Students from the Faculty of International Relations asked a lot of questions. Over the course of the lectures, students showed great interest to a more thorough study of this distant country and the development of Argentinian-Russian relationships.
Oleg Belenov, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations, lecturers Alexander Slinko, Oleg Mikhalev, and Yulia Lapteva, and lecturer from the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Philology Yulia Pustovalova contributed a lot to the organisation of these lectures. From the middle of May the cooperation programme will be continued with lectures by Russian specialists.
