The university’s women’s handball team of the VSU Students’ sport club “Khitschnye Bobry” won the interuniversity championship for the first time in 13 years.
The results of the games were:
- VSU Students’ sport club “Khitschnye Bobry” 34:21 Voronezh State Technical University.
- VSU Students’ sport club “Khitschnye Bobry” 34:14 Voronezh State University of Engineering Technologies.
- VSU Students’ sport club “Khitschnye Bobry” 33:16 Voronezh State Pedagogical University.
- Students’ sport club “Khitschnye Bobry” 33:29 Voronezh State Medical University.
The team was coached by Evgeniya Kozyreva, teacher at the Department of Physical Education and Sports.
“This year both men’s and women’s handball teams have joined the activists of VSU Students’ sport club “Khitschnye Bobry”. They became a great addition to the team not only as sportsmen but also as wonderful organisers. During this season the girls showed a great game and a really well-coordinated team work. I would like to congratulate the team and their coach for their amazing efforts as the team has won first prize for the first time in 13 years! I hope this trend will continue next year, and the girls will show great results not only at the regional but also at the national level,” said Igor Kotok, a specialist from the Department of Student Affairs of VSU.
