Aleksey Bolgov, a fifth year student of the Faculty of Pharmaceutics, took part in the 24th International Congress “Phytopharm 2023”. It was held from 25 to 27 May at the St. Petersburg State Chemical and Pharmaceutical University. Aleksei Bolgov made a poster presentation in English.
The scientific program of the congress covered important and topical aspects of pharmaceutical science, industry, and related fields in terms of preparation, analysis, and application of products of natural origin, research of medicinal plants, phytochemistry, and phytotherapy.
Aleksey Bolgov’s report was devoted to the issues of uncontrolled prescription of medicines from the group of “Adaptogens and tonics”, which aroused great interest and discussion among the participants.
“It was the first time I participated in an event of this level. The studies of top scientists in the field of pharmacognosy, phytochemistry, and phytotherapy from different countries (Belarus, India, Italy, Germany, South Africa, China, Kazakhstan, Russia, and others) were presented. The congress allowed me to get acquainted with the latest methods of analysing plant raw materials, non-standard approaches to experiment planning. It gave me the opportunity to further develop in my area of interest and provided new ideas for planning my own scientific research,” said Aleksey Bolgov.
